Algorithms for Problem Solving
This course focuses on designing algorithms using techniques that are usually not covered in basic algorithms courses and textbooks. The algorithms are implemented in the C++ programming language.
The course consists of an online course material and programming exercises. There are 80 exercises in total, and the course is graded as follows:
| Solved exercises | Course grade |
|---|---|
| 40–47 | 1 |
| 48–55 | 2 |
| 56–63 | 3 |
| 64–71 | 4 |
| 72–80 | 5 |
In addition, the course includes a supervised exam (graded pass/fail) based on the exercises you have solved during the course. Each student will get a personalized exam based on their submitted solutions.
When you have solved enough exercises for your target grade, contact the course organizer by email. You will then receive instructions for the exam, which will be the final step of the course.
